This was a new brand that came about in collaboration with Brakes food suppliers. Birchstead Meats provided Brakes with top quality, matured beef that needed to look the part in order to sell on restaurants, pubs and eateries all over the UK. The brief was to create an authentic and premium looking brand which portrayed this quality.
As with all projects I undertake, to get the correct result for a particular client, several routes and positions were explored before the concepts were taken to final designs and packaging.
The favoured mark referenced original butchers' illustrations and this helped to give the brand heritage and an authentic, premium feel which would relate to it's target audience.
