Hi there! Are you ready for an adventure?

I’m Claire, proud Devonion, former early years teacher and a Mum to my two lovely, yet slightly bonkers boys.

I love cooking, and I’m at my happiest bustling around a busy kitchen making treats with my littles. I have many happy childhood memories of baking with my mum – of course the best part was licking the bowl!

Sharing my love of food with my children is so important to me, and I’ve found they are much more likely to try new meals if they’ve helped to make them. They’ve loved helping me experiment with new ideas, their favourites being the ‘giant jam sandwich’ and our specialty, the ‘Gruffalo Crumble!’

Kids love cooking, it’s great fun but also a fantastic way of helping them to learn new skills:

  • Following instructions

  • Problem solving

  • Counting, weighing and measuring

  • Scientific skills from mixing and adding exciting ingredients

  • Finding out where food comes from

  • Cooperative skills such as turn taking

  • Improved self confidence

Time to Cook is a great new way for you and your children to get involved in the kitchen without the worry of mess and time! My dedicated sessions are a culinary voyage; introducing children to the world of cooking and showing them how to transform basic ingredients into something delicious. It’s a way of giving them a sense of where food comes from whilst learning lots of practical and useful skills along the way.

Is your child ready for their first cookery adventure?
